Jun 14, 2016 (newstodate): Responding to rising demands, Emirates has announced that new capacity will be thrown into the route between Dubai and Moscow.
Starting from December 1, 2016, the carrier will introduce the Airbus A380-800 aircraft on one of the two daily flights between the two destinations, replacing the Boeing 777-300ER now in use.
The Airbus A380 on the flights to Moscow will be in the carrier's normal three-class configuration, with a total seat number at 516.
It will actually be the second time Emirates brings the Airbus A380 into the Russian capital.
Starting from August 1, 2014, Emirates introduced its second daily Airbus A380 rotation on the route between Dubai and Moscow Domodedovo Airport, also replacing the Boeing 777-300ER on one of two flights.
But the A380 disappeared again from November 2014 as the crisis struck the Russian economy.
Emirates first launched flights on the route to Moscow on July 1, 2003, with five weekly rotations operated with an Airbus A330-200 aircraft, adding a second daily flight from March 1, 2009.
