Jun 20, 2016 (newstodate): Taking effect from October 1, 2016, Kuehne+Nagel is to split Europe into two organizational units, Central/Eastern Europe and Western Europe.
To head Western Europe as regional manager, K+N has named Danish national Peder Winther.
Since January 2015, Mr Winther has served as Kuehne+Nagel President Middle East and Africa Region, based in Dubai.
Mr Winther will thus now move to Amsterdam, the HQs for Western Europe.
Mr Winther started his career in 1993 in the logistics business with Maersk Line and Maersk Logistics, joining K+N in January 2011 as Snr VP, Seafreight.
Heading K+N Central/Eastern Europe ande to be based in Hamburg will be Hansjoerg Rodi, currently Schenker chief executive for Central Europe.
