Jun 07, 2016 (newstodate): With the acquisition of Jetscape Aviation Group announced in March 2016, the global leader in turboprop aircraft leasing Nordic Aviation Capital is rapidly expanding its regional jet capabilities as well.
The deal brought 28 Jetscape-owned Embraer E-Jets including 16 E190, nine E175, one E170 and two E195 aircraft, commitments for 11 E-Jets and a further 18 of the type under management into NAC's regional turboprop aircraft portfolio that already comprised over 275 aircraft.
Now, NAC has also acquired 25 Embraer E190 and E175 aircraft from Air Lease Corporation, with the transfers of the aircraft to begin this quarter and expected to be concluded by Q1, 2017.
In April 2016, NAC further announced the acquisition of the Irish aviation leasing company Aldus Aviation Limited, a specialist in Embraer E-Jet operating leases.
Aldus added a further 30 managed regional jets to NACs expanding portfolio, bolstering the combined delivered fleet to a total of 294 aircraft plus 48 managed.
