May 25, 2016 (newstodate): Under the banner of "Peace and understanding of peoples outside of politics", a fleet of small private aircraft from Western Europe have flown in to Russia.
As a show of protest against the prevailing Western sanctions against Russia, 20 aircraft from Germany, Switzerland, Italy and France flew into Russia's Pskov Seredka Airport after passing customs and border control at the Lithuanian Kaunas Airport on May 23, 2016.
The fleet next proceeded to its end station, Manushkino near St Petersburg, for a comradely reunion with Russian GA pilots.
