May 24, 2016 (newstodate): Turkish Airlines Cargo remains satisfied with the performance of its freighter service from Denmark's Billund Airport to Istanbul since April 10, 2016.
-This week the Airbus A310-300F freighter wet-leased from ULS Airlines Cargo lifted from Billund Airport with 30 tonnes of export shipments which comes close to a full flight, says Cem Kavas, Turkish Airlines Regional Cargo Manager Denmark.
-We are still not without problems on the imports side, but the flight is now shared with Tallinn, Estonia, instead of London Stansted, as originally planned. The flights thus leaves from Istanbul with a full load on a charter to Tallinn Airport, proceeding empty from Tallinn to Billund where it picks up the Danish export shipments and in this way securing a profitable rotation between Istanbul and Billund, says Mr Kavas.
In this summer's schedule, the Turkish Airlines Cargo operations is performed with one weekly Sunday flight.
