May 24, 2016 (newstodate): Thales has selected Copenhagen, Denmark as regional headquarters for all activities in the Nordic and Baltic states.
The new headquarters will lead activities in Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Iceland, Ireland, Latvia, Lithuania and Sweden.
According to the Group's press release, the strategic consolidation will enhance local presence in the region and secure a stronger framework for increased cooperation across the group's activities in the Transportation, Aerospace, Defence and Security markets, including the monitoring and protection of the Arctic region.
Especially the key role that the Danish Commonwealth of Greenland and Denmark plays in the Arctic and the Danish government decision to prioritize the effort to protect and develop this region, was a significant factor in the decision to locate the Nordic and Baltic headquarters in the country.
