May 26, 2016 (newstodate): Finland's Helsinki Airport is seeing cargo volumes rising in 2016.
In the first four months of 2016, a total of 56,854 tonnes of cargo was handled at the airport, an increase by 8.3 percent, y-o-y.
Included in the totals were 53,133 tonnes of international cargo, up 9.4 percent, 2,802 tonnes of international mail, down 16.1 percent, as well as 919 tonnes of domestic cargo and mail, also up 54.8 percent.
The airport's international cargo volumes have been rising steadily every month in 2016, with the largest monthly increase in April when volumes were up by 15 percent, y-o-y, to 12,668 tonnes.
