May 10, 2016 (newstodate): Sky Greenland has purchased one Fokker 100 aircraft, to be put on Denim Air's AOC
-The aircraft is being test flown this week, after which it will be moved to Bratislava for paint and cabin configuration, says Gert Brask, Sky Greenland CEO.
-When this process has been completed in about one month, the aircraft will be based at Denmark's Aalborg Airport and offered on the ad-hoc charter market, as well as operating for Sky Greenland's own purposes including upcoming scheduled flights yet to be announced, says Mr Brask.
At the same same, Sky Greenland is looking into adding a further three Fokker 100 aircraft to its fleet, with negotiations currently going on.
After a sustained period with financial difficulties, the Dutch ACMI carrier Denim Air was acquired by Sky Greenland under an agreement signed on January 18, 2016.
Denim Air holds three AOCs covering Fokker 50, Fokker 100 and Embraer 145 aircraft.
