May 19, 20165 (newstodate): The Russian Superjet 100 is seeking a prospective future with airlines in the ASEAN member countries.
The search is on for new potential customer airlines in notably Cambodia, Myanmar, Thailand, and Singapore.
Thailand is already going to be a new customer as orders have been placed for delivery in 2016 of two Superjet 100 aircraft in VIP configuration, with a third order coming up.
Singapore is also in the searchlight, not only for aircraft but also for the setting up of a new Asian Superjet 100 post-delivery service center.
A total of 64 Superjet 100 aircraft are now in commercial service, including 26 operated by Aeroflot, 19 by the Mexican carrier Interjet, and 10 units operated by the Russian carrier Gazpromavia.
