May 22, 2016 (newstodate): Poland's Katowice Airport has now commissioned its new cargo terminal after a construction period stretching from 2014.
The 5,700 sq m facility comprises 2,700 warehousing space and 3,320 sq m office space and is now housing the activities of DHL, Fedex, UPS and TNT as well as a general cargo department.
In 2015, the airport handled a total of 16,120 tonnes of cargo, primarily on integrator traffic with DHL as the single largest operator.
