May 24, 2016 (newstodate): Norwegian has again dug into the pockets for acquisition of more aircraft to serve its ever-growing route network.
Latest move includes an order for lease of a further two Boeing 878-900 aircraft, to be delivered by spring 2018 from CIT Aerospace.
This will bring the total number of Boeing 878 aircraft in 2020 to 42.
In today's fleet are eight Boeing 878-8 and two Boeing 787-9 aircraft.
Norwegian has also decided to activate eight of 100 purchase options for Boeing 737 MAX8 medium-haul aircraft, expected to enter into service in 2017.
