May 25, 2016 (newstodate): Menzies Aviation has landed new airline handling contracts at Copenhagen Airport.
Taking effect from July 1, 2016, Menzies will take over the handling of British Airways that has so far been customer with SAS Ground Handling.
British Airways will add six daily rotations at CPH to Menzies' operations at the airport.
Operating two of these daily BA flights is the Danish charter and ACMI carrier Jet Time that has also picked Menzies for handling services at Copenhagen.
As a result of these now contracts, Menzies is now recruiting more staff both on the passenger side and on the ramp.
With Miguel Gomez Sjunnesson as country manager Sweden and Denmark, Menzies established handling services at Copenhagen Airport from April 1, 2015, with Norwegian as its launch customer, followed by a contract with Delta Air Lines, and adding the Spanish LCC Vueling from July 21, 2015.
