May 26, 2016 (newstodate): If everything goes according to plans, the two French companies, ADPI and Bouygues are close to landing a MoU with Iran on construction of a new passenger terminal at the capital's Tehran Imam Khomeini Airport.
As a first move, the parties signed a MoU concerning a new terminal, Iranshahr, at the airport, to be fully financed by the French parties under a BOT model, and the MoU is now expected to turn into a firm agreement very shortly after a series of meetings.
The design of the new terminal to be constructed over a period of three years will be provided by the Dutch company NACO under a separate contract, and besides the Iranshahr terminal the French parties will also build the Salam Terminal at the airport within a construction period of only six months.
