May 30, 2016 (newstodate): China's air cargo industry keeps growing at a fast pace in 2016, according to statistics from CAAC.
In March 2016, airfreight volumes carried by Chinese carriers amounted to 564,000 tonnes, which was an increase by 9.1 percent, y-o-y.
The growth rate was largest in domestic air cargo traffic, up 9.1 percent, while volumes on international routes was up by 7.1 percent, y-o-y.
However, capacity outgrew volumes, so the over-all cargo load factor dropped 1.3 percentage-points to 72.3 percent in March.
