May 25, 2016 (newstodate): The leading foreign investor in Georgia, the Chinese Hualing Group has aired plans for setting up a new airline in the country.
To be named My Way Airlines, the new carrier will initially have a fleet comprising two Boeing 737 and one Boeing 777 aircraft, aiming at establishing a route network comprising destinations in Europe and Asia as well as in the USA.
My Way Airlines is already established in China and has now also been registered in Georgia, and plans are to hire Georgian staff with the base at Tbilisi.
