May 30, 2016 (newstodate): The government of Bosnia and Herzegovina is working hard to inject new life into the country's Bihac Golubic Airport, near the border to Croatia.
Construction of a new passenger terminal is due to start after completion of the documentation works, and financed partly by the state and partly by foreign parties including the Turkish handling company Celebi Aviation Holding and a Dubai-based investment fund.
Also in the plans is the construction of a new ATC tower as well an extension of the existing 1,200 m runway to 2,000 m, allowing for operations by larger passenger and cargo aircraft.
