Apr 12, 2016 (newstodate): The Hungarian LCC Wizz Air is seemingly developing an insatiable appetite for Iceland.
Latest news is the introduction of flights on a new route between Keflavik, Iceland, and Vilnius, in Lithuania, with the first flight scheduled for October 2016, and to be performed on a year-round basis.
The Icelandic carrier WOW Air is already operating flights on the route, but on a summer-only basis, making Wizz Air the first all-year provider of flights between Iceland and Lithuania.
Wizz first entered the Icelandic market with flights from Gdansk, in Poland, from June 19, 2015, adding flights from Warsaw, in Poland, to Keflavik from May 13, 2016, and from Budapest from March 30, 2016.
