Apr 18, 2016 (newstodate): One Swedish airport to see brisk growth in cargo volumes during January-March 2016 was Malmo Airport.
The airport handled a total of 7,623 tonnes of cargo during Q1 2016, an increase by 24 percent, y-o-y.
Generating the cargo growth at the airport is first of all the Russian carrier ABC Airlines' two weekly calls at Malmo Sturup Airport as an en-route stop on the route between Amsterdam and Moscow with Boeing 747-8F freighter from April 2014, as well as the freighter traffic by the Volga-Dnepr subsidiary Atran's weekly Boeing 737-400F freighter flight since January 9, 2014.
