Apr 25, 2016 (newstodate): Cargo volumes on Russian carriers rose steeply in this year's first quarter.
In Q1, the country's 35 carriers lifted a total of 251,452 tonnes of cargo which was an increase by 16.8 percent, y-o-y.
As usual, the Top-5 carriers increased their joint proportion of the volumes, taking a share of 85.3 percent of the totals volume, against 80 percent in Q1, 2015.
Ranking #1 was ABC Airlines with 162,415 tonnes, up 20.5 percent, y-o-y, followed by Aeroflot with 33,614 tonnes and up 15.2w percent, S7 with 7,498 tonnes and up 13.4 percent, Volga-Dnepr with 7,154 tonnes but down 11.8 percent, and finally Abakan Air with 4,925 tonnes and up 5.2 percent.
