Apr 20, 2016 (newstodate): The Iranian carrier Mahan Air seems still to be on tracks to launching services on its coming new route from Tehran to Copenhagen.
Only the choice of aircraft type to be used on the route seems to be vacillating.
Originally scheduled for Airbus A310 operations, this aircraft type was later replaced by Airbus A340 in the booking system - then re-set for Airbus A310 - but has now been changed for Airbus A340 again, probably reflecting various estimates of the eventual passenger loads on the flight.
The first flight remains scheduled for June 9, 2016, with two weekly rotations.
Mahan Air has picked Aviator for handling at Copenhagen Airport, while a cargo GSSA has still not been announced.
Mahan Air was also to launch flights from Tehran to Stockholm from June 2, 2016, but these plans are still in the air as the Swedish government has not finally approved the application that was otherwise finalized with approval by the Swedish Transport Agency from the technical and legal aspects.
