Apr 11, 2016 (newstodate): As in previous summers, Korean Airlines is operating a series of charter flights to Croatia.
The operation started in summer 2010 with two rotations using Boeing 777-200ER aircraft on the route, growing to up to 15 Airbus A330-200 rotations in summer 2015.
As a novelty, the carrier will operate two of this year's rotations with Airbus A380 aircraft, marking the first entry into Zagreb Airport with this aircraft type.
In 2015, South Korean and Croatia signed a new Air Service Agreement opening up for more commercial aviation between the two countries.
Under the new agreement, the two countries will designate carriers, traffic rights and specify points for air services in the two markets.
