Apr 11, 2016 (newstodate): The new Finnish carrier under formation, Go! Aviation still has some way to go before its launch of services.
Earlier slated for first week of April 2016, the launch date has been delayed and no start-up date has yet been set.
-We are still awaiting the delivery of our first aircraft, a Pilatus PC-12 aircraft, and once we have this at hand we will need some extra days for crew and airport familiarization, says Jorma Kario, Go! Aviation CEO.
-We are, however, confident, that this will all happen within a short time from now, Mr Kario says.
The first operation is planned with flights on routes between Kuopio and Helsinki as well as between Helsinki and Tallinn, Estonia, with ambitions to grow the network at a later stage to include routes from Finland to Sweden, Denmark, Belgium, Holland and other European markets.
In Sweden Go! Aviation plans to offer flights to Stockholm Bromma and Malmoe Airport, in Denmark destinations will be Roskilde Airport and Odense HCA Airport, while flights to Norway will come further down the road, probably to be launched in 2017.
