Apr 08, 2016 (newstodate): Finnair is planning for launching flights on the route between Helsinki and Guangzhou, in China, this summer.
The route will be served only seasonally, however, with four weekly rotations during the period May 6 and October 29, 2016.
The flights will mark a return to Guangzhou, China's third-largest city and an industrial center in southern China, after it first launched year-round flights to Guangzhou on September 2, 2005, but pulled out again after three years of operation with MD-11 aircraft.
Finnair currently operates five direct routes in Greater China with year-round flights from Helsinki to Beijing, Chongqing, Hong Kong and Shanghai, plus a summer service to Xi'an with the inauguration flight on June 15, 2013.
