Apr 08, 2016 (newstodate): Finnair saw growth in cargo volumes in March 2016, showing an increase by three percent, y-o-y, to 11,638 tonnes.
While volumes on N America were down 10.3 percent, volumes on the Asian routes were growing by 6.3 percent to 7,2768 tonnes and the European segment also grew by 10 percent in volumes to 1,973 tonnes.
Cargo on freighters and purchased traffic was down 11 percent to 1,544 tonnes in March 2016.
During this year's Q1 the carrier has thus carried 32,930 tonnes, up 8.2 percent, y-o-y, primarily thanks to an increase by 10 percent in the Asian segment, totaling 20,524 tonnes.
