Apr 04, 2016 (newstodate): The Estonian regional carrier Avies has had its wings clipped, at least temporarily.
As it has failed to present documentation to prove that a number of deficiencies revealed in earlier inspections had been corrected, the Estonian CAA has suspended its AOC as of April 1, 2016, grounding all operations.
Inspections had listed 90 points on its list of non-compliance, and as 47 of these remained unsoiled, the decision was made to ground the carrier until convincing evidence has been presented and verified by the CAA.
