Apr 05, 2016 (newstodate): The Czech Republic's Prague Airport is seeing a hefty increase in cargo volumes in 2016.
So far statistics for January and February 2016 show an increase by no less than 28.7 percent, y-o-y, in the period.
Totals were 9,130 tonnes of cargo, including 9,120 tonnes on international flights which was up by 28.84 percent, y-o-y.
Since January 12, 2016, UPS has introduced a daily Boeing 757 freighter service at Prague connecting to the hub at Liege, and starting from March 3, 2016, Qatar Airways Cargo has launched a twice-weekly Airbus A330-200PF freighter services at Prague, greatly adding to the cargo potentials at the airport.
