Apr 26, 2016 (newstodate): Finland's Helsinki Airport has long been keeping an eye on China's Beijing Capital Airlines - and news are now emerging on the airline's plans for Finland.
According to China Aviation Daily, Beijing Capital Airlines plans to launch flights from Beijing to Helsinki, starting from May 2017 with two weekly rotations using Airbus A330-200 aircraft.
The plans were first aired already in September 2015 in connection with the decision to start flights with Airbus A330-200 aircraft from Hangzhou and Beijing, respectively, to Copenhagen, from September 3, 2015.
The launch date for a similar operation to Helsinki was then slated for winter 2015 - which however did not materialize.
Beijing Capital Airlines will also launch flights from June 2017 on a new route connecting Beijing and Zagreb, in Croatia.
