Apr 07, 2015 (newstodate): On April 16, 2016, the Latvian carrier airBaltic will be fully and officially free from any reins by the EU probe into its alleged state aid issues.
The EU has approved airBaltic's restructuring plan, the carrier's equity is now on the positive side after the substantial investments of euro 132 mio by a German investor and the Latvian state - and the limitations imposed by EU during the period of investigation are thus fully lifted, enabling the carrier to develop its route network and capacities according to its business plan and the directives from its Board.
Also the publication of airBaltic's annual report 2015 is forthcoming after the imminent Board meeting, presented within the coming weeks after a slight delay to have the latest important financial issues included.
