Mar 04, 2016 (newstodate): The Icelandic carrier WOW Air is readying for start of its first year-round scheduled service service in the Swedish market.
With the first flight on May 19, 2016, the carrier will be offering four weekly Airbus A320 rotations on the route between Vasteraas Airport and Keflavik, offering onward connections to WOW Air destinations in North America including Toronto, Montreal, Boston, Washington, San Francisco and Los Angeles.
So far, WOW Air has been offering seasonal summer flights between Keflavik and Stockholm Arlanda since 2014, but was eventually unable to obtain suitable slot times for its new year-round service that has then been allocated to Vasteraas instead.
Connected to Stockholm City by bus and train, Vasteraas Airport also serves the cities of Uppsala, Vasteraas, Orebro and Eskilstuna.
