Mar 15, 2016 (newstodate): The Swedish/UK cargo carrier West Atlantic is yet to hold its first board meeting after an Extraordinary General Meeting held on February 29, 2016, where shareholders elected a new board and put in a new temporary CEO.
Gustaf Thureborn, CEO and President and in an executive position with the company since 1995, was thus relieved of his position and replaced by Fredrik Groth as interim CEO to lead the company until the 2016 Annual General Meeting.
-So far there is no change in the company's strategy and all operations are business as usual. It will of course now be up to the new Board to set, or confirm, the course to be followed in the times ahead, says Fredrik Groth.
The new West Atlantic Board consists of five members, four of which are long-term shareholders - Goran Berglund as Chairman of the Board, the ATSG represented by Joe Payne, Tony Auld and Russell Ladkin, while Joseph Payne was re-elected member of the board.
