Mar 07, 2016 (newstodate): Delta Air Lines is reportedly planning a return to Moscow.
The carrier will be offering flights from New York to Moscow Sheremetyevo Airport from May 16, 2016, with five weekly rotations on the route served with Boeing 767 aircraft.
Starting from June 2003, Delta Air Lines was the first US carrier to serve Russia nonstop from its John F. Kennedy International Airport hub.
The carrier however pulled out from the route in December 2015, citing low demand in the market and the effects from a falling Russian Ruble.
Delta has been serving the route in cooperation with Aeroflot, its SkyTeam Alliance partner.
