Mar 16, 20165 (newstodate): Armenia's latest attempt on a viable national carrier, Armenia Airways is poised to launch scheduled services from June 1, 2016.
The coming network will comprise flights from Yerevan to 10 destinations including eight in Russia in addition to Amsterdam and Paris.
The flights will be operated with two Airbus A320 Family aircraft on the carrier's own AOC
The privately-owned company has been set up by Tamaz Gaiashvili, former Georgian Airways President now holding 24 percent of the shares, together with Ashot Torosyan, 51 percent of the shares, and Robert Oganesyan with 25 percent.
