Mar 29, 2016 (newstodate): The European ACMI and leisure carrier Small Planet Airlines is setting foot on the French market from this spring.
Already basing one Airbus A320 aircraft at Paris Vatry Airport, the company is to allocate a second aircraft to the French market, to offer charter operations from Paris to Mediterranean leisure destinations.
The first aircraft stationed in France has been operating flights to Algiers on an ACMI contract since December 2015.
Small Planet Airlines is, however, not to set up a French subsidiary while already operating airlines in Lithuania and Poland under own AOCs, and the Group has also set up a subsidiary in Germany with an own AOC.
Still on the shelf is the establishing of a subsidiary airline in Thailand, but this process is still pending awaiting the outcome of the process to reform Thailand's commercial aviation structure.
