Mar 02, 2016 (newstodate): More and more airlines are operating into Iceland's Keflavik Airport, diminishing the proportional weight of the national carrier Icelandair in the statistics.
In February 2013, Icelandair accounted for 81.5 percent of flight operations at Keflavik Airport. In 2015, this proportion had decreased to 59.4 percent as the carrier thus sank in February below the 50 percent-mark for the first time.
In February 2013, WOW Air accounted for 11.8 percent of the flights at the airport, rising to 18.7 percent in 2015.
And in 'February 2013, easyJet was already the third-largest operator of flights at Keflavik with 2.4 percent of the flights.
Still #3 in February 2015, easyJet's proportion had however sky-rocketed to 13.3 percent.
