Mar 18, 2016 (newstodate): Yet to be officially confirmed, one more Gulf cargo carrier may be approaching Denmark.
Plans by Etihad Cargo are to add Copenhagen Airport as an intermediate stop on the freighter route from Amsterdam to Abu Dhabi to lift an allotment of some 30 tonnes of cargo signed by a Danish forwarder.
The forwarder may also be targeting Norway's seafood exporters to route shipments unto the Etihad freighter.
If plans are realized, the freighter will call at Copenhagen on Fridays, which will however not be overly attractive for the seafood industry.
Selling Etihad Cargo in the Danish cargo market is Universal GSA.
Copenhagen Airport is already the Nordic hub for Emirates SkyCargo since July 1, 2014.
