Mar 03, 2016 (newstodate): The Danish air broker Blackbird Air Charter is planning for expansion into new markets beyond Denmark.
-Our business plan never focused on just building Blackbird Air Charter into one of Denmark's largest aircraft broker companies. There are already a number of well-performing Danish air brokers serving the market including the tour operators, says Ole Christiansen, Blackbird Air Charter CEO.
-Our vision is rather to grow in the Nordic markets, the Middle East and USA, in this sequence, and this is the path we will go in the next few years ahead.
-Norway has an ample provision of air brokers, with Aircontact as the major player. Yet there is still room for more competition and we would certainly like to snatch a share in this market. Sweden is a rather difficult market to serve, and also here Aircontact has a strong presence, notably in the government and military segments. But we have a number of good contacts in Sweden as well and will certainly strengthen our efforts here as well.
-Finland is currently in an economic down-turn and industrial production is at a low. Still, there is a need for VIP and executive flights despite the economic stagnation and quite a number of partners are interested in cooperating with us. We have the fleet suited to these needs and see further potentials in this market as well.
-So we are bent on strengthening our position in the Nordic markets as a first step, and we plan to add one more staff in 2016 to serve the dynamic VIP market, freeing our existing forces to capitalize on their core competencies within broker services in the passenger and cargo markets, says Mr Christiansen.
