Mar 31, 2016 (newstodate): WFS Sweden is facing bankruptcy in a dispute with a former employee.
Supported by her union, the employee, a Danish national, on February 10, 2016, filed a bankruptcy application with a Swedish court that has acknowledged the case in a meeting on March 21, 2016, where no representative from WFS Sweden was present.
At the core of the dispute is a claim for 150,750 SEK in allegedly unpaid wages to which further costs have now been added by the court to cover various expenses in connection with the case.
Money-wise, the size of the claim is hardly a problem for WFS, but newstodate has not been able to obtain further information on the core issue at stake.
WFS announced the launch of independent air cargo handling operations at Stockholm Arlanda Airport from June 1, 2012, taking over the lease agreement with Swedavia of 3,000 sq m terminal earlier operated by A.S.P Logistic terminal from October 2009.
