Mar 15, 2016 (newstodate): On and off the route between the UK and Azerbaijan, British Airways is now again pulling out from the market.
The carrier has announced its decision to stop flights on the route between London and Baku with the last rotation in May 2016 after serving with six weekly rotations since the start of the winter 2012 schedule.
BA earlier operated flights between London and Baku between 1995 and 2001 when the route was taken over by bmi.
With the integration of this carrier into BA, British Airways then returned its own services between London Heathrow and Baku using Airbus A321 aircraft.
The decision to pull out again is caused by low demand in the market, but the carrier has now precluded a resumption of services if warranted by the markets.
