Feb 25, 2016 (newstodate): Cargo volumes reached all-time levels in 2015 at Poland's Warsaw Airport.
A total of 28,284 tonnes of cargo was handled at Warsaw Chopin Airport, an increase by 8.99 percent, y-o-y.
The totals included 57,736 tonnes of international cargo that was up 9.38 percent in 2015.
The prime destinations for cargo through the airport were Leipzig with 8,200 tonnes, Cologne with 8,000 tonnes, Dubai 6,100 tonnes, New York Newark 5,800 tonnes, and and Chicago with 5,100 tonnes.
Contributing the heaviest to the cargo record were LOT Polish Airlines with 21,000 tonnes and up 0.8 percent, UPS Airlines 9,500 tonnes and up 77.8 percent, European Air Transport 8,200 tonnes and up 14.8 percent, Emirates 6,100 tones and up o.9 percent, and TNT Airways with 3,000 tonnes and up 23.2 percent, y-o-y.
