Feb 09, 2016 (newstodate): SAS Cargo is most satisfied with the market response to the implementation of its new booking portal.
-With the new booking portal, we and our customers save significantly on time consumption concerning bookings, says Leif Rasmussen, SAS Cargo CEO.
-Through the new portal, a typical booking will require only 84 seconds including search for availability, routing, rate and any other issue, and the customer will then have all information at his disposal without further action needed, or without having to make any supplementary calls, ending up with a finalized AWB.
-The actual time saving will accrue to about 90 percent of the time earlier spent on phone calls and exchange of information between airline and customer, and the quality of data is enhanced by the automated process as well.
-Any specific data concerning the customer's rate agreement with SAS Cargo or the status of his allotment will be stored in the system and can be easily monitored by the customers.
-Already now, 60 percent of all bookings on SAS Cargo are made through the booking portal, and the rate of penetration has currently reached around 40 percent on a worldwide scale, says Mr Rasmussen.
