Feb 19, 2016 (newstodate): Ryanair's emblematic CEO Michael O'Leary is not wasting his time with pointless travels, so calling the Danish trade press to a media conference in Copenhagen on February 23, 2016, probably does have a point.
Speculations are that Ryanair will add more new route openings at Copenhagen Airport besides the program already announced for this summer.
In the plans as of now are flights on 15 routes, including a new opening to Porto, totaling 31 weekly rotations.
Following a court ruling supporting Danish unions' rights to take labor action against the carrier, Ryanair in early July 2015 closed down the Copenhagen base opened only on March 2015 with up to four Boeing 737-800 aircraft deployed to serving 11 routes, and also closed its base at Billund Airport, opened in in March 2012 with the stationing of two Boeing 737-800 aircraft.
