Feb 01, 2016 (newstodate): Qatar Airways is returning cargo services to Hungary from this spring.
Starting from March 3, 2016, the company will introduce the Airbus A330-200F on direct flights between Doha and Budapest, offering two weekly rotations on the route.
The new Qatar Cargo freighter flights offering up to 68 tonnes of cargo capacity will complement the cargo capacity on Qatar Airways commercial daily Airbus A320 passenger operations since January 17, 2011.
Already from June 30, 2012, Qatar Airways Cargo launched a direct twice-weekly freighter service between Doha and Budapest with an Airbus A300F freighter aircraft, but pulled out again in 2013 citing commercial reasons, and the fleet capacities were reallocated to other operations.
-There is, however, a market potential, and the ongoing fleet expansion provides the necessary aircraft source. So after a market research and study Qatar Airways Cargo decided to restart the Budapest freighter from March 2016, the company's European PR company explains to newstodate.
