Feb 26, 2016 (newstodate): Two Airbus A350 aircraft are standing idle at the Airbus facilities in France - long overdue for completion of test flights and delivery.
Both aircraft, the fourth and the fifth for Finnair, have performed one test flight only but the program has since stalled for over a month now while they are still slated for delivery in March 2016 if the current plans by Finnair hold.
Sources cite rework on cabins, including toilet areas, as the reason for the postponement of the flight test program.
Depending on actual test results, between four and up to 14 test flights are performed prior to delivery.
