Feb 22, 2016 (newstodate): If everything goes as planned, Finland will see the launch of a new carrier in 2016: Go! Aviation.
The first operation is planned for March with flights on a route from Kuopio in Finland to Tallinn, Estonia, via Helsinki
Behind the new venture are Jorma Kario, to serve as Go! Aviation CEO, and Roope Kekalainen, to serve as COO.
Plans are to set up a fleet of Pilatus PC-12 aircraft seating up to eight passengers to offer tailored charter flights within and between Finland and European airports, and the first aircraft has already been put on Finnish registry.
While the start will be modest, ambitions are less restrained as the stated goal of the new carrier is "to be the biggest aviation company in its segment in Europe by 2025."
