Feb 18, 2016 (newstodate): The Swedish/UK charter and ACMI freighter carrier West Atlantic is to take in one more converted Boeing 737 aircraft later this year.
The Luxembourg-based company JMV Aviation has contracted AEI for conversion of a Boeing 737-400 to freighter version offering 11 pallet positions.
The conversion works at the US facility will be completed by June 2016, and the aircraft will then be placed with West Atlantic on a leasing contract.
With this addition, West Atlantic will have six Boeing 737-400SF in addition to six Boeing 737-300SF and three Boeing 767-200SF aircraft in the fleet, in addition to 33 ATP and 2 CRJ200LR freighters.
