Feb 02, 2016 (newstodate): With the start of deliveries of the new 118 Airbus aircraft ordered, Iran Air will greatly expand its services in 2016 already.
Iran expects to take delivery of the first five to eight new Airbus aircraft in 2016, allowing the carrier to increase frequencies from three to five weekly rotations between Tehran and Amsterdam and Frankfurt, respectively, and the carrier also plans to launch flights to new destinations Tokyo and Seoul.
In addition, Iran Air will be seeking new code-share agreements with airline around the world to expand the potentials.
Iran has now also confirmed the signing of an order with ATR for 40 new ATR 72-600 aircraft for domestic and regional services.
