Feb 19, 2016 (newstodate): British Airways is in need for additional aircraft capacity to operate a number of domestic routes out of London Heathrow during the summer schedule.
The solution has been found: BA has contracted the Danish charter and ACMI carrier Jet Time to provide two Boeing 737 aircraft for the purpose.
-Heathrow take-off and landing slots, which were previously being used by the UK airline Little Red, have been returned to us for use in summer 2016, says BA's International Media Service in London.
-To help with this larger schedule, the Danish airline Jet Time will operate a small number of our short-haul flights on our behalf this summer.
We carefully selected Jet Time after evaluating their customer service and safety standards and we are confident that our customers will enjoy their flight with them.
Jet Time, now managed by Teddy Zebitz as CEO, operates a fleet comprising five Boeing 737-300 and four Boeing 737700 passenger aircraft plus five Boeing 737 freighter aircraft, one of which in QC configuration.
The carrier also operates 13 ATR aircraft on a contract with SAS.
