Feb 26, 2016 (newstodate): The Czech Republic's Prague Airport has landed a unique new airline customer: Sichuan Airlines.
Starting from February 25, 2016, the carrier has launched flights on a new route between Chengdu in China and Prague Airport, offering two weekly rotations served with Airbus A330-200 aircraft.
The new route opening adds the 6th European destination by the carrier from Chengdu, already operating flights between Chengdu and Amsterdam, Frankfurt, London, Moscow, and Paris.
The airline was established on September 19, 1986, and now has an all-Airbus fleet comprising 107 aircraft.
