Feb 29, 2016 (newstodate): While CASS figures for Sweden reported s sustained decline in 2015, new and more comprehensive figures show that cargo volumes at Stockholm Arlanda Airport are actually rising by 9.3 percent, y-o-y, flown and trucked cargo included.
A total of 147,612 tonnes of cargo was handled at the airport, including 65,178 tonnes of imports, up 9.2 percent, and 82,434 tonnes of exports, also up 3.8 percent.
111,052 tonnes of the total cargo volume was flown, and another 36,560 tonnes was trucked cargo.
Flown cargo was thus up seven percent, while trucked cargo volumes increased by four percent, y-o-y.
There figures comprise only cargo, while mail volumes in 2015 would add another 40,000 tonnes to the total volume handled at Stockholm Arlanda Airport in 2015.
