Feb 11, 2016 (newstodate): Among the three international airports in the Moscow region, no-one managed to keep cargo volumes in 2015 on a par with the preceding year.
Performing the best in 2015 was the smallest among the Top-3, Moscow Vnukovo Airport that handled a total of 36,707 tonnes, down "only" 1.3 percent, y-o-y.
The largest in cargo volumes, Sheremetyevo Airport saw its volumes down in 2015 by 9.9 percent, y-o-y, to a total of 178,168 tonnes, while Moscow Domodedovo Airport saw its volumes dipping by 17.9 percent, to 133,183 tonnes in 2015.
In December 2015 alone, Moscow Sheremetyevo Airport was alone in growing its cargo volumes that increased by 5.6 percent, y-o-y, while Moscow Domodedovo was down by 7.7 percent, and Moscow Vnukovo dropped by 13.2 p3ercent, y-o-y.
